Yeonggwang is an only area where Korea’s top-4 religious & cultural remains exist all together. There are the first Sanctuary of Baekje Buddhism created to commemorate the first introduction of Baekje Buddhism through Beopseong Port, Won Buddhism Youngsan shrine which is birth place of sotesan Jongbin Park the Grand master who is founder of Won Buddhism, Christian martyrs museum where 194 believers died for their belief at the Korean War, Catholic martyrs museum where many Catholics died for their belief due to the Persecution of 1801 in Chosun era.
