[Scenic Site 4] Bulgapsa Temple

Introduction

Bulgapsa Temple is known as a temple first built by an Indian Buddhist monk Marinanta Zonza, who first introduced Buddhism to Baekje after he arrived at Beopseongpo. It has precious cultural assets such as treasure No.830 the main temple, treasure No.1377 wooden Sakyamuni sambul seated wood statue, treasure No.1470 bulbokjangjunjuk, and also including palsangjeon, chilsunggak, manseroo, bumjongroo, chunwangmoon. As temple stay is possible, many tourists including foreigners visit, and there is wild growing northern boundry zone of neolitsea sericea which is natural monument No.112.
